Lake Manyara National Park Serengeti Wildlife Ngorongoro Crater

Day 1: Lake Manyara National Park

The drive from Moshi to Manyara National Park takes around 4 hours. Upon arrival in Manyara, enjoy a picnic lunch before embarking on a late afternoon game drive, which is an ideal time for wildlife viewing. Approaching from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment rises impressively in the distance, creating a striking backdrop to the lake.

In the groundwater forest, monkeys swing from branch to branch, while elephants can be seen standing in the shade of the escarpment. Commonly sighted animals include zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and more. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a campsite or hotel.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

The drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai Gorge, situated in the eastern Serengeti plains, is a significant archaeological site where early human fossils were first uncovered. The area features a stunning landscape shaped by the tectonic forces that formed the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago.

In the late evening, enjoy a game drive in the Serengeti before spending the night at Serengeti Wild Camp on a full-board basis.

Day 3: Serengeti / Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, followed by an afternoon drive to Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge, located in the eastern Serengeti plains, is a renowned archaeological site where early human fossils were first found. The area boasts a remarkable landscape shaped by the tectonic activity that formed the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago.

Continue to your campsite or hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, head towards Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive within the crater. This area is the prime spot in Tanzania to observe black rhinos and prides of lions, including the striking black-maned males.

The crater is also home to vibrant flamingos and a wide range of water birds. Additionally, you may encounter leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and various species of antelope, along with smaller mammals. In the late afternoon, return to Moshi for an overnight stay at the hotel, where bed and breakfast will be provided.
